"Uighur Beauty" was painted live in an art class amongst Xinjiang students in a teachers' college. While all the others worked in oil, I joined as a special guest and attempted to capture the beauty of the Uighur girl through watercolours. The affirmation of my effort was most evident from the faces of my fellow budding artists.
